Behind the Name: A name used to describe one of the celebrations around the Summer Solstice.

 Fire is a fantastic boy in the temperament department. He's calm, quiet, cool and collected. He'll tuck his feet way up, lay flat on his back. He's basically everything we look for in a male. I wish that Fire was not a RED and could be used in my Russian Cinnamon line because I absolutely love his temperament. He had a big growth spurt after 5 weeks of age and has always been one of my bigger, stockier boys.

 Fire is a Russian Fawn, which means that he is a Russian Blue Agouti diluted by the RED gene. He has great coloration and a nice stocky build. We definitely intend to use him in our program but do not have solid plans of who he will be paired with at this time. We will likely use him for our Fawn line in late 2010 or early 2011.

    • Has been healthy aside from chronic eye issues in his left eye.
  • Temperament
    • Extremely sweet and endearing boy. Very good foot-tucking. He'll lay on his back in my hand and tuck his feet way up and just stay that way.
  • Type: 
    • Very nice size for a male from a line that produces small bucks. Ears are tubular and a bit pointy. Head has a nice shape for a Dumbo. Nice body outline. Body would benefit from a better muscle vs fat ratio. Color is very good.

    • Respiratory weakness, hind leg weakness, fertility, facial abcesses
